POEM: ANOTHER ADAM

Another Adam

Leaving me without condemnation

me who walks by spirit not impression.

Abiding in him no longer under damnation

The curtain he tore, no more separation.

Pierced hands for my transgressions

The cross he bore, carrying my sins.

So that my life life may live to show his grace,

Godly sorrow producing my repentance.

Through him who became a curse

His grace sufficient in my weakness.

 Another  Adam

33 years well spent,

For me never to be hell-burnt

His love, no depth, no height,

Neither death, nor powers in hell, can separate.

Reconciling this Namasuba soul to God

Now you can call me redeemed

Because through him iam justified

Cherished and ransomed.

 Another Adam

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Romans 5:15
