Midlife has a way of naturally reorienting us, not necessarily to the fleeting nature of life, but to the seeming fullness of it, at eternity’s expense.
Oh that God will preserve us in that dread hour for his name’s sake! That our blindness to higher joys will be healed in the evening of conformity. That we shall awaken to the grief of giving in. That our Christian testimony and legacy shall not be swallowed up in forgetfulness.

Come to think of it, It’s hard to gaze at a beautiful sunrise and think about your nice resume – at the same time. Yet
For more than a decade, I have always lived with a tension resulting from trying to reconcile what I read in God’s word and what I see in God’s world.
This platform is an aggregation of reflections resulting from that discord.
By God’s grace, until the sweat lies cold on my brow, I hope to enter his glory satisfied that his word was not only the lamp to my feet, but a lamp to others’ feet too.
